Types and Styles of Limousines

Limousines are available in different shapes, styles, and sizes. They can be categorized into three types SUVs, Executive Limos and Coupe Style limos. The SUV limousines are the ones with the most amenities. If you book a limo for the airport then you’re likely to get one of the coupe-style limos.  No matter which type you choose there will still be varying degrees of amenities that are available.

Lets take a look at each of them and when they are most commonly used.

Sports Utility Vehicle Limousine:

These are the largest versions of limos. They have a seating capacity of up to 10 passengers and come with a lot of amenities.  On the other hand, they are relatively expensive.  Some of them come equipped with TVs, DVD player, a stereo system, and even a fully stocked bar.

However, their only drawback is that they are rather bulky and difficult to maneuver in congested areas.  You may also need an experienced driver for them.  If you have ever seen a stretch Hummer trying to turn a corner then you know exactly what I mean.  They are most often used for events like Prom or Wedding Parties where you have a bigger group that needs a lot of room.

Executive Limousine:

These are medium-sized versions that have a seating capacity for 5 to 8 passengers and offer plenty of luxuries that one would expect from an executive vehicle.  Some of the common amenities include music, TV, DVD, and a fully stocked bar. They are usually used by businesses for executive transportation.

Executive SUV limousines are often used for corporate travel or for meetings with clients.  These are the types of limousines that you will often see elected officials and Fortune 500 executives using.

Coupe Style Limousine:

This is a smaller version that is best suited for 2 to 3 passengers who want privacy and do not want to share space with other passengers.  The ride is smooth and quiet and is popular with travelers going to the airport. These vehicles can also be used by individuals for commuting purposes. Most of these vehicles do not come equipped with an audio system.  Some of the popular brands include Mercedes Benz, Cadillac, Lincoln Town Car, Audi, and BMW.

This should give you an idea of the seating capacity and when each type of limo is used.  Before you book anything talk with the limo company and let them know what the occasion is and what services you would like with your limo.
