Brown alumni and professionals have always played a crucial role in EP’s mission. The following are four major ways to participate:

Mentorship Roles
Monthly Office Hours Mentor
Holds office hours to advise individual students and teams for a 4 hour on-campus visit.

Panelist Speaker
EP hosts a variety of panels throughout the year. Past topics have focused on corporate social responsibility, biotechnology, finance, and "going green."

Q&A Speaker
We recognize that not everyone enjoys developing or delivering formal keynote speeches. For this reason, EP now offers our speakers the option of a guided interview by a moderator in lieu of a traditional presentation.

Judging Roles
Elevator Pitch Competition Judge
Students are judged based on their ability to pitch a venture idea given 45 seconds.

Business Plan Competition Judge
First round judging takes place remotely and requires review of 3-5 business plans by each judge so as to determine 5 finalists. A final round of judging takes place on-campus. Judges will hear the presentations from all finalists and choose three award recipients.
